This bill would reform Connecticut’s bail system by eliminating cash-only bail, and end Connecticut's one-size-fits-all approach to setting bail for people charged with misdemeanors. The bill passed both chambers of the legislature and signed by Governor Malloy. It took effect on July 1, 2017.
