Connecticut has a two-step process for voting absentee: 1) a voter must complete and return the APPLICATION to vote absentee 2) the voter must complete and return their official BALLOT. For the November 3, 2020 election, by law, every municipality must have at least one secure drop box for voters to submit their BALLOTS, and these drop boxes are typically located outside of town/city hall. The Secretary of the State's office has indicated that voters may also submit their APPLICATIONS to vote absentee via these secure drop boxes.
